Renault Z.E.

The Renault Z.E. (Z.E. stands for Zero Emission) is a All-Electric Concept Car project of the French car manufacturer Renault.

The first model of the Renault’s Z.E. project is based on Renault Kangoo Be Bop. The vehicle was debuting at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. It gives a preview of what one might expect from Better Place.

It has its compact dimensions (length: 3.95 m (156 in), height: 1.85 m (73 in).

The Z.E. is powered by a 70 kW electric motor and the lithium-ion batteries give 200 km electric range. Solar panels positioned on the roof power a temperature regulation system.

Estimated price is 16,000 €.

In 2009, Renault extends the concept from one model to four, which are named as Fluence Z.E., Kangoo Z.E., Twizy Z.E., Zoe Z.E., and were presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009.

Renault announced that all the Z.E. concept vehicles on show in Germany will be released from 2011 and cater for a wide variety of different customers and uses.
