A concept car named “Meriva Concept” was presented at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, showing the styling direction that the 2nd generation will take, including the suicide doors, a first for the mini-mpv category.

The all new Meriva will debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March, with it going into production sometime in 2010.

Undisguised pictures show it will have suicide doors, like the concept. However, Opel have called them ‘FlexDoors’.

They also show a panoramic roof, which will most likely be standard on all Merivas.

This will be the first Opel/Vauxhall to be fitted with a stop-start system to improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions.
