The Suzuki Kizashi is an upcoming mid-size car from Suzuki.
The Kizashi will be the late successor to the GM Daewoo built Suzuki Verona. It was officially unveiled at a World War II memorial in suburban Detroit on July 30, 2009. Suzuki planned to introduce the Kizashi at the 2009 New York International Auto Show, but due to mishaps, did not.
Production will start in late 2009 in Sagara, Japan. The car will be available on either a front-wheel drive or an all wheel drive platform developed by Suzuki. Its only engine at introduction will be a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder, although a V6 is planned. A hybrid variant is also in development.
